Most churchgoers and students of the New Testament should be familiar with the four categories of manuscripts: papyri, majuscules, minuscules, and lectionaries. These categories are part of the Gregory-Aland (GA) system, devised by Caspar René Gregory and continued by Kurt and Barbara Aland. We will be adding these main subsections under this main section with lists of the different categories with tables that cover such areas as the manuscript siglum (symbol for the text), date, content, how many pages, where it is housed, and so on.
