STEP 1: Raise your expectations. We dumb down the church with cartoon Bible study booklets, we dumb down our churchgoers with interpretive Bible translations (NIV, CEV, TEV, NLT, etc.) People will do what you expect them to do. 7 Steps to go ...
Christians How Can You Save Yourself and Those Who Listen to You?
From the beginning, it has been true that Christians are obligated to work (an evident demonstration of genuine faith), for that is according to the principles of God. The warning of Paul that we find at 1 Timothy 4:16 was packed with meaning for the holy ones in early Christianity. However, today the times that we live in are more perilous, the days are more wicked.
The First Interview With Christ
John 1:35–42 There stood a mighty Prophet; there was the predicted character of the Lord’s Servant; there was a peerless One. The good news proclaimed by John the Baptist was true. The Christ had indeed come. May we not pause here to consider what this means with reference to our methods of work for Christ?
CHRISTIANS: Salvation As a Work?
“And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”—Philippians 1:6. WORK is the subject of this text. The world is full of busywork; the din of toil and the hum of the industry is ever in our ears. But there is another work. Simultaneous with this work of the world, mingling with it, but rising above it in grandeur and importance, is another work—a divine work—a work for the salvation of souls.
HOW CAN WE BE READY TO DEFEND YOUR CHRISTIAN FAITH AND KNOW HOW YOU OUGHT TO ANSWER EACH PERSON?
"For the sharing of the message of Christ to be effective, the wise walk must be accompanied with flavorful talk. The believer’s talk is to be gracious, rather than gruff, and charming, rather than coarse." - Max Anders "A Christian should not attempt to ram the truth down someone’s throat or to speak patronizingly or critically to them." - David Walls and Max Anders
How Are Christian Good Works the Light of the World?
You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; In the same way, let your light shine before men, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in the heavens. (Matthew 5:14, 16) Being the light of the world is pre-eminently applied to Jesus in the Scriptures (Matt. 4:16; Luke 2:32; John 1:4; John 8:12; Isa. 49:6), because he is, in the moral world, what the sun is in the natural world. The apostles, Christian ministers, and all Christians are lights of the world, because they, by their instructions and example, show what God requires, what is the condition of man, what is the way of duty, peace, and happiness the way that leads to heaven. As the city on the hill, Christians must be seen; they ought to be holy, harmless, and undefiled.

Handle God’s Word Aright (A Worker Approved by God)
Paul gave practical instructions on how the true servant of Jesus Christ will live. He warned about activities which sabotage our efforts to live a life worthy of God’s calling, especially those things which prove divisive. Paul always presented two clear choices without any neutral options. We either choose Christ’s way, or we fall into the devices of Satan.
