How Can Christians Pursue Holiness in a Fallen World?

Paul encouraged the Corinthians with the promise, “No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape” (1 Corinthians 10:13). The Ultimate Goal of Holiness

Holiness is not an end in itself but a means of glorifying God. The pursuit of holiness is a testimony to the transforming power of God’s grace and an invitation for others to seek Him.

The Hope of Perfection

While perfection is unattainable in this life, believers look forward to the day when they will be made holy in the fullest sense. Paul expressed this hope in Philippians 3:20–21: “Our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.” Until that day, Christians must press on in their journey of sanctification, trusting in the promises of God.
