1 Peter 3:17 Updated American Standard Version (UASV)
17 For it is better to suffer because you are doing good, if the will of God wishes it, than because you are doing evil.
For it is better to suffer because you are doing good, if the will of God wishes it. That is, if God sees it to be necessary for your good that he should allow you to suffer, it is better that you should suffer for doing well than for something bad. God often sees it to be beneficial at times that his people should suffer. There are effects to be accomplished by the affliction, and some of the happiest results on the soul of a Christian, some of the brightest traits of character, are the effect of trials. But it should be our care that our sufferings should not be brought upon us for our own wrongdoings or foolishness. No man can promote his own highest good by doing wrong and then enduring the penalty that his sin incurs, and no one should do wrong with any expectation that it may be overruled for his own good. If we are to suffer, let it be by the direct hand of God in that we are living a life as a Christian that results in difficulties of one sort or another and not by any fault of our own. If we suffer, then we shall have the testimony of our own conscience in our favor and the feeling that we may go to God for support. If we suffer for our faults, in addition to the outward pain of body, we shall endure the severest pangs that man can suffer—those which the guilty mind inflicts on itself. Note that this verse, or any Bible verse, does not say that God purposely brings suffering on his people to build character. Our suffering will generally result from living a life that is counter to Satan’s world.
This is where we are heading, people. There are multiple countries now that have a crime called hate speech. And the government will send you to prison for saying something that is actually scientifically true or biologically true, or biblically true. This woman is going to go to prison for 3 years for saying that men cannot be lesbians. She has been charged with hate speech. Think about the Pastors in the United States of America that will no longer be able to say from the pulpit that homosexuality is a sin. If they do they will go to prison for hate speech. This is where our country is heading. Freedom of speech will no longer be. What a person can say will be determined by the government. We now have things like 72 different genders instead of two different genders. We now have drag queen shows in our grade schools. We now have schools that are secretly hiding that the children are being brainwashed with ideologies that are counter to what the parents would want. We now have schools that will help a child that they brainwashed into thinking that they are a different gender go to a doctor to prepare for gender transition. Plano, Texas, is considered one of the top 10 conservative cities in the United States. I watched a YouTube video where transgender strippers went into the grade school and did their stripping routines in front of grade school children. You would think that would be the worst thing of it all but it is not. The camera shows the parents that are sitting behind these drag queens laughing and clapping as men dressed in women’s clothing pull up their dresses and show their genitals to the children. This is our new normal people. The things I have said in this simple post on social media would probably get me 10 years in prison in some European countries for hate speech.
