Paul saw that they would be able to boast and have confidence in Jesus because of his release in answer to their prayers and concerns.
We need to look for ways to boast about Jesus (the only legitimate boasting) in the affairs of our lives. People are always talking about wanting to work for God, and then they sit and wait for a reason. If Jesus has saved you, you have all the reason to go out and “brag” on what He has done. God did not call us to sit, soak, and sour – He saved us to go, grow, and glow in the Savior.

Through my presence with you again. The brothers and sister would not only be delighted that Paul had been delivered but that they would be afforded the chance to see him again. The same would be true of Paul, who would be joyful at the opportunity to see them again as well.
