IS FAITH HEALING SCRIPTURAL? Is It From God? Does It Do Any Harm?

Faith healing is alleged healing achieved by religious belief and prayer, rather than by medical treatment. The modern form of faith healing began in the 19th century and exploded in popularity in the early 20th century. Faith healers today claim that God still performs such healings, and they are backed by the testimonials of thousands who claim to have been healed by them. What about today? Is miraculous healing still a good possibility for those who can find no medical cure?

LUKE 17:19: For Miracles to Work, Is Faith Required?

Faith healing is the practice of prayer and gestures believed by some to elicit divine intervention in spiritual and physical healing. If one is not healed, it will be claimed that he lacked faith. As they say, ‘for miracles to work, faith is required.’ Charismatic “Christians” who support faith healing and faith healers as Scriptural will quote Luke 17:19, which says, And he [Jesus] said to him, “Rise and go your way; your faith has made you well.”
