In 1965, Paul Harvey wrote about America’s downfall. Some 55 years later, almost everything he had to say has come true in our day. Satan the devil is very involved through man in the affairs of fallen humanity. (Gen. 6:5; 8:21; Jer 17:9) Note the apostle Peter's warning: 1 Peter 5:8 Updated American Standard Version (UASV) 8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. What lies below is an insightful warning account that should be taken very seriously today.
2 Corinthians 2:11 Updated American Standard Version (UASV) 11 so that no advantage would be taken of us by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes. How much influence does Satan have? How does Satan try to influence others? What do you need to learn about your enemy?

These verses suggest that Satan, also referred to as "the god of this world,” has a role in keeping people from understanding and accepting the gospel message. He is said to have blinded the minds of unbelievers so that they may not see the light of the gospel and be saved. This blindness is not a physical blindness but a spiritual one. It refers to the inability of the unbelievers to understand and accept the truth of the gospel message. Satan has deceived them into thinking that the message of Jesus is not true or that there are other ways of salvation. The verse also implies that Satan is actively working to oppose the spread of the gospel and to keep people from being saved. However, it's important to note that Satan's power is limited, and he is ultimately subject to the sovereignty of God, who can overcome Satan's schemes and bring people to salvation through the power of the gospel.
Of course, we cannot be dogmatic about this, but we can infer from the Scriptures and draw a conclusion based on reason and logic that neither Satan nor his demon rebels can read our thoughts. Take a moment and consider the descriptive names ascribed to Satan. He is called [Heb. sa·tan′; Gr. sa·ta·nas′] translated Satan... Continue Reading →
Satan and his demons have the world of mankind in their control to the point that Jesus could say, “the whole world lies in the power of the evil one [i.e., Satan].” (1 John 5:19) The apostle Paul writes, 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 Updated American Standard Version (UASV) 3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled... When God first create the angels, they were all good, including the one we refer to now as Satan the Devil, as well as the demons. One angel, AKA Satan the Devil, thought too much of himself and started craving the worship God received. Likely, he reasoned, God already has an untold number of angels... Continue Reading →
In the 20th century alone, the United States saw the First World War or Great War, Russian Civil War, Second World War, as well as the Cold War, French Indochina War, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Persian Gulf War, the Afghan War, the Iraq War, and the ongoing War on Terror. One would... Continue Reading →
Centuries passed with God’s people in their on-again-off-again relationship with God. It came time for God to keep his promise that he had made back at the time of Adam and Eve’s expulsion from Eden that he was going to send a seed that would eventually bruise Satan in the head, which is a deathblow.
Living in the modern scientific-minded world of the 21st-century, most no longer believe in wicked spirit forces, demons. The truth of the matter is if such spirit creatures exist, their belief in them is irrelevant, and the effect is felt by every living person on earth. Even for those of us, who accept the demons...
