Worship can take many different forms, depending on the beliefs and practices of the person or group performing the worship. (Matt. 28:9) In general, worship involves expressing reverence, admiration, or devotion to a higher power or deity and can be a private or personal act or a communal or public one. (John 4:23-24) It can involve singing, praying, chanting, making offerings, or performing other Christian acts. Worship can also be a way of expressing gratitude or thanksgiving to a higher power.
