Jude's readers are called … loved by God the Father and kept by Jesus Christ. We take them to be Jewish Christians living in Palestine. Jude was fond of presenting information in threes. Called looks to the past; loved looks to the present; while kept looks to the future. He wished mercy, peace, and love for his readers—a typical greeting of the culture and time.
