Apologetic Defense of the faith, the Bible, and Christianity
As I have written in previous articles, a good English translation can go a long way in helping the reader of God’s word understand the text, but there are times where a consideration of the original language can help that same reader go even farther. One such text is Ephesians 2:8-10.
For in the case of those who have once been enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, and then [after that] have fallen away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance
