Genuine repentance acknowledges sin, abandons its supporting arrangements, repairs harm where possible, and produces a changed course.

Taking Responsibility for Past Mistakes and Repairing Their Consequences
Genuine repentance names the wrong, abandons excuses, repairs available consequences, and accepts the responsibilities that remain.
How a Person Comes to True Repentance
True repentance changes the mind, turns from sin, trusts Christ’s sacrifice, confesses wrongdoing, and produces obedient conduct.
