John 1:35–42 There stood a mighty Prophet; there was the predicted character of the Lord’s Servant; there was a peerless One. The good news proclaimed by John the Baptist was true. The Christ had indeed come. May we not pause here to consider what this means with reference to our methods of work for Christ?
HOW CAN WE BE READY TO DEFEND YOUR CHRISTIAN FAITH AND KNOW HOW YOU OUGHT TO ANSWER EACH PERSON?
"For the sharing of the message of Christ to be effective, the wise walk must be accompanied with flavorful talk. The believer’s talk is to be gracious, rather than gruff, and charming, rather than coarse." - Max Anders "A Christian should not attempt to ram the truth down someone’s throat or to speak patronizingly or critically to them." - David Walls and Max Anders
How Are Christian Good Works the Light of the World?
You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; In the same way, let your light shine before men, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in the heavens. (Matthew 5:14, 16) Being the light of the world is pre-eminently applied to Jesus in the Scriptures (Matt. 4:16; Luke 2:32; John 1:4; John 8:12; Isa. 49:6), because he is, in the moral world, what the sun is in the natural world. The apostles, Christian ministers, and all Christians are lights of the world, because they, by their instructions and example, show what God requires, what is the condition of man, what is the way of duty, peace, and happiness the way that leads to heaven. As the city on the hill, Christians must be seen; they ought to be holy, harmless, and undefiled.

(Rom. 12:2) Paul wrote those words to the first-century Christians. Why did he find it necessary to give such strong warnings to men and women who were committed, devoted, dedicated to God and anointed with the Holy Spirit?
WHAT ARE SOME OF THE MOST EFFECTIVE METHODS OF SOUL-WINNING?
The most important kind of Christian work in the world is personal work. We look at the men who stand on the platform and speak to great crowds, but I believe God pays more attention to the man who sits down with a single soul.
WHY IS IT THAT HE THAT WINNETH SOULS IS WISE?
“He that winneth souls is wise.”—Prov. 11:30. The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life: The righteous person, by speech, conduct, and example, that is, fruit or fruitage (Heb. peri), he captures or wins souls, namely, by the person (soul) listening to the righteous one, he gets spiritual food, and he is then led to serve God, and he...
