What God’s Love Really Means

God’s love is holy, truthful, corrective, sacrificial, and life-giving through Christ, never sentimental approval of sin.

John 15:9 teaches that Christ’s love is holy, obedient, sacrificial, and meant to shape every disciple’s daily walk.

Matthew 7:12 calls Christians to active righteousness by treating others as they would rightly desire before Jehovah.

Ephesians 5:1–2 calls Christians to imitate God as beloved children by walking in holy, truthful, sacrificial love.

God loved first through Christ, and Christian love must answer with obedience, truth, mercy, forgiveness, and faithful action.

The Bible condemns selfishness as self-rule that displaces love for God and neighbor, calling Christians to humble service.

How can you know if it is real love? Scripture measures love by patience, truth, holiness, self-control, and spiritual fruit.
