Laziness is not only detrimental to the individual but also to the community, as it places an unnecessary burden on others.

On the other hand, the diligent person experiences satisfaction because their efforts are rewarded. Proverbs 14:23 declares, “All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty.” The diligent do not merely talk about their desires—they take action to fulfill them. Their perseverance ensures that they enjoy the results of their labor, while the sluggard remains trapped in unfulfilled longing.

Jehovah’s design for mankind includes meaningful work, and those who embrace it find both provision and satisfaction. Those who seek success, both materially and spiritually, must commit to steadfast labor, knowing that Jehovah blesses those who work faithfully.
