THE DEBATE CRITIQUE IS SIMPLE
MODERATOR CHRIST WALLACE
The moderate, a registered Democrat stopped Trump from interrupting Biden every time but never stopped Biden. The moderator avoided Hunter Biden, thinking we are not interested. Personally, that interested me more than everything else. Government corruption as Vice President will mean even more as President. The moderator allowed Biden to go mostly unchallenged on completely stupid answers and total lies.
PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP
He had an ok night at best. It was him against Biden and Wallace, a real disadvantage. Trump attacked Biden too much and too viciously. He should have jabbed him with pointed comments here and there to interrupt his thinking. There were many times when Biden started to ramble incoherently and was about four words into crazy talk when Trump interrupted and saved Biden from looking as though he has dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. The biggest stumble Trump made was not answering Wallace’s last question explicitly. Wallace asked, ‘If the election results take longer will you ask your supporters to not take to the streets and riot?’ First, this is a stupid question, it has been liberal socialist radical destroying American cities for months, killing the police, and anyone who believes differently. The sense I get is Trump misunderstood the question and he failed to give a good answer. But that will be a focus of the liberal new media. Trump should have hit Joe with zinger comments instead of long interruptions. Then, Trump with his two minutes: he should have used the first minute to tout his record and the second minute to expose the bad record of Biden.
VICE PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN
He was lying all the way through. He was exaggerating in the extreme. He tried to look right into the camera, to talk to the people but that was a bid idea, he looked like a wide-eyed maniac. Really, it was a bad look. He hit Trump with a couple of jabs, but it was lost in his ramblings. Biden can thank Trump and Wallace for surviving the first debate only slightly wounded.
THE WINNER
President Trump won but it was not by a landslide because of Wallace’s incompetency in the debate and because Trump himself was too eager to go in the attack. Again, he should have landed some jabs at Biden to disorient, not look for a knockout punch because Biden is his own worst enemy and would have stumbled right into his own knockout of himself.
THE LOSER
Christ Wallace the moderator was the biggest loser because he was clearly biased and that was made plain in several ways. He quickly tried to stop Trump from interrupting Biden but never stopped Biden from interrupting Trump. He gave Biden more two-minute questions than Trump. He also avoided extreme hot spots for Biden like Hunter Biden’s uneducated, no skills getting put on boards for oil/gas companies in Ukraine for $184,000 dollars a month, being given 3.5 million by the wife of a Russian mayor, and getting a 1.5 billion dollar contract from China for his new small startup company, all while on trips on Air Force Two with the Vice President with Joe Biden. Then, Joe Biden Brags about getting the Ukrainian Prosecutor fired for going after the company that Hunter Biden was on the board of, and Wallace said these things are not important to the American people. Really, absolute corruption as a Vice President and it is not important for his possibly being President?
THE LUCKY ONE
Joe Biden is the luckiest man alive to stumble into being the Presidential candidate and for surviving debate number one with President Trump. He was lucky that Fox News was foolish enough to pick Wallace, a registered Democrat, who did just enough to make it look like he was hard on Bide too but he was not to people who know the facts and have been paying attention. Next time Fox News pick Martha MacCallum, Bret Baier, or Bill Hemmer.
CLOSING THOUGHTS
If we think Trump is going to get a fair shake from NPR and especially NBC, they are living in a fantasy world. The only chance at a fair debate was with Fox News, where both could have been challenged. The Republicans have been fighting with the wrong mindset and with their hands tied behind their backs for 70 years. They thought if they put one of the only Democratic Fox News person as the debate moderator that they would not be criticized for being biased. They have long thought: ‘if we play fair, or if we are honest, and if we do things the right way; then, maybe the Democrats will reciprocate.’ It does not work that way, for the barbarian Democrats have only become more vicious in their words and deeds. It is time to take the gloves off or lose the country. When I say take the gloves off I do not mean resort to the violence in the streets like the barbarian Democrats, I mean use the power of your office to its fullest extent.
