The Bible is a plain book. It is intelligible by the people. And they have the right, and are bound to read and interpret it for themselves; so that their faith may rest on the testimony of the Scriptures, and not on that of the Church. Such is the doctrine of Protestants on this subject.
By the completeness of the Scriptures is meant that they contain all the extant revelations of God designed to be a rule of faith and practice to the Church.
It only stands to reason that our first task is to draw close to God by getting to ‘know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom he has sent.’ (John 17:3) We do know that he has already reached out to us through his Word the Bible, a revelation about him, and his will and purposes for his creation. One way that we can grasp his instruction for us is by studying his Word.
From the beginning, it has been true that Christians are obligated to work (an evident demonstration of genuine faith), for that is according to the principles of God. The warning of Paul that we find at 1 Timothy 4:16 was packed with meaning for the holy ones in early Christianity. However, today the times that we live in are more perilous, the days are more wicked.
What is Judgement Day? When Christians think of Judgment Day what comes to their mind? What does day of Judgement Day mean for you? What does the Bible say about Judgement Day?
Satan is the god of this age, the ruler of this world (2 Cor. 4:3-4; 1John 5:19), who has created a scheme to get us engaged in personal pursuits and side issues. (1 Pet. 5:8; 1 John 2:15-17) Some Christians have lost the zeal that they had when they first became a Christian.
