God’s faith-building promises recorded at Isaiah 41:10: (1) God will be with His true followers, (2) He is our Almighty One True God, and (3) He will help His people. We need these guarantees because we face many difficult trials in our walk with God. We must also deal with pressures from world conditions. Some of us are even enduring persecution from powerful governments.
Of what purpose are long years of Christian endurance under persecution, if one arises from persecution to enter a life of immorality? Of what good is a record of a faithful life over many years if this is at last stained by a return to the ways of Satan’s world? Never let your guard down! For every genuine Christian, the spiritual fight is on to the end. (Matt. 24:13) All of us need to “be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might,” and to put on and keep on “the full armor of God.” (Eph. 6:10-11)
